So originally I decided that I was going to be a good little boy, save my money and not attend Coachella this year having gone two years in a row. Then Friday Day 1 came by and I started seeing Coachella photos from friends on Facebook and Instagram which resulted in serious FOMO. So I bought a last minute ticket and had the time of my life on Saturday & Sunday! I also camped for the first time ever which was a TRIP. Made so many new friends from across the world and memories that will last me a lifetime.
There’s no way I could hit all of the shows and now I see why people go both weekends. There were just too many good artists and sometimes I got sidetracked with the sick grimey beats in the DoLab and Yuma tent.
The top EDM sets I saw have to go to Duke Dumont and Kaskade! Guetta was pretty good until he brought out the Black Eyed Peas who just fucked shit up. Sorry guys, that song is not, “Awesome.”
Duke Dumont took over the Sahara tent at nightfall and played all of his classics including his newly released “The Giver (Reprise)” that is a refreshed track of his work he released a few years ago. I was right in the front just LIVING. The full set can be heard below:
Everyone knows I’m a die hard KASKADE fan so he was the first one on my Coachella hitlist. He blew me away with his set mixing a lot of his current smash hits with some oldies but goodies. The vibe of the crowd was also amazing. It tends to feel like magic at shows right at the Coachella twilight hour 🙂
